Claire Cavalheiro is an actress, comedian, writer and producer based in Toronto and Los Angeles. When she’s not on set or on stage she is running her production company, Stained Tie Films.

She has trained at the famous Groundlings Training Centre in Los Angeles and Second City in Toronto. Before that she studied drama at Queen’s University in Canada. Before that she was in high school, trying to be cool and failing. And before that she was homeschooled, which makes that last part make a lot more sense.

Claire was most recently seen in the International Emmy nominated series, How To Buy A Baby, and the award-winning film and festival favorite, Must Kill Karl. She’s worked multiple times with CBC, including recurring on the long-running Rick Mercer Report, starring in the comedy, According To Kids, and True Dating Stories. But she is best known for her role in FXX's hit series, Man Seeking Woman, as Jay Baruchel's girlfriend, Rachel.  

Claire isn’t just in front of the camera Claire wrote, stars and produced the web series Out of Work and also the two-time award-winning film Who Is Hannah on CBC, which was in the official selection of the Atlantic Film Festival, The Toronto International Short Film Festival, The Hamilton Film Festival, the Lake Shorts International Film Festival, Hollywood North Film Festival and the Indie Toronto International Film Festival.
       As a standup comedian, Claire has performed on stages across Canada and the US, as well as the UK and Australia. She earned a nomination for the 2013 Fresh Meat of Comedy Award, and toured with the ‘East Coast All Day’ Comedy Tour of Canada and the US. Claire's has appeared on Cosmo TV and MTV, and performed at Toronto's NXNE Comedy Festival.
